Since the course will prepare you for a position as a transport manager, you do not need any prior experience in the logistics or transportation sectors.
Employees with fleet management expertise who want to advance to a transport manager role and oversee the company’s O-licence will also find this course suitable.
The course comprises of the following Modules:
Business and Company Law, Industrial Relations, Health and Safety and Wellbeing, Financial Management, Commercial Conduct of the Business, Marketing, Organisation Charts, KPIs and Work Plans, Business Taxation.
Operator Licensing, Driver’s Hours and Records, Planned Preventative Maintenance, Vehicle Costing, Vehicle Taxation, Contracts of Carriage and Conduct Regulations, Electronic Data, Bus and Coach Service Operation, Competition Rules, Timetable and Scheduling, Fares, Revenue Collection and Tenders
Driver licensing, Traffic Regulations and Speed Limits, Traffic Accident Procedure, Insurance, Vehicle Selection, Weights and Dimensions of Vehicles, Mechanical Condition, Route Planning and Frontier Crossings, International Transport Documentation
10 days (Two weeks Mon – Fri/ Two days a week for 5 weeks)
Optional: Additional 2 days Exam Preparation and Revision
